Frequently Asked Questions
Camp Attire
Your camper should be dressed for a day of rugged outdoor activities, fun hard work, mud, dirt, and animals! Sturdy long pants and closed-toe shoes (preferably boots) are required. Even though it may be hot outside, for safety reasons please don't send your child in sandals and shorts! Pack or dress in layers, as weather changes within one day of camp.
Sunscreen
Flower Lion Farm does not supply sunscreen for campers. Please apply appropriate lotions and sunscreens prior to your arrival at each camp. Even on cloudy days in Colorado, sunscreen is a great idea to avoid burns. Hats that offer shade of any kind are also a good idea.
Lunches & Snacks
All campers need to bring a full water bottle and packed lunch, along with any additional snacks they are familiar with in their daily routine. They'll be with us from 9:30-12:30 or 9:30-3, so if your child needs more than a packed lunch to make it through the active day, please provide. No indoor refrigeration for lunches is available outside at camp, so ice packs in cooler bags are a great idea.
Allergies
Please let us know prior to your child's day at the farm if there are any allergies that we should be aware of. We are near animals, insects, and foods of all kinds.
Registration & Payment
You will need to pre-pay to reserve your child's spot in farm camp by mailing a check or with Paypal using this link: https://www.paypal.me/FlowerLionFarmLLC , we also accept Venmo. Be sure to include your child's name and farm camp dates in the comments section or check memo so we know who the payment is for.

Payment, along with your signed form, holds your spot for your days of camp.

Liability Release Form
Our liability release and camper information forms will be emailed to all registrants and must be filled out before your child can participate.

Please print out this form, fill it out and sign it, and email it back to Kimberlee Berlin at flowerlionfarm@gmail.com. Postal mail will also work!
Cautions
By signing forms and allowing your child to attend camp, you have been made aware of any risks that exist in a farm setting.
Covid-19
Added safety and sanitation measures will be in place. Flower Lion Farm expects all visitors to follow all local/state directed health measures and recommendations by the CDC. Farm activities are outdoors with plenty of space to spread out to allow for social distancing. Disposable masks will be available to those who may wish to wear one. Hand sanitizer will also be provided as well as a handwashing station and a restroom available for hand washing. Participation in farm activities is voluntary, so please be responsible and stay home if you are concerned about your own exposure or if you are ill.
Cancellation Policy
Farm Camp spaces are extremely limited, and due to some unfortunate last minute no-shows in the past, our small business has adopted a no-refund policy. Should you need to cancel your time with us due to illness or emergency, we will credit your payment to a future camp. Please give me as much notice as possible so that we can offer the empty spot to a child on the waiting list. Thank you for your understanding!
Weather
Northern Colorado skies can definitely keep us on our toes! So while we plan on being tough farmers and having camp during most weather conditions, we will cancel if the forecast calls for any extreme weather or if it will be below 32 degrees. We will be outside for the majority of time so campers should dress accordingly (though we will go in the barn to warm up as needed). Should we need to cancel due to weather, I will refund your payment or you can choose to put the money towards a future farm camp.
